How Do They Work?
Air source heat pumps come in two varieties: air-to-air systems, which deliver heated air via a fan unit for year-round home heating, and air-to-water systems, which heat water to supply your central heating, taps, and showers. - Heat from the air outside is extracted by the heat pump
- Heat is then transferred to your central heating system from the pump
- Air to Water Heat Pumps: Heat is sent to your radiators and/or underfloor heating, a hot water cylinder stores the rest.
Air to Air Heat Pumps: Heat is sent to an indoor fan unit which can provide heating or cooling. - Air to Water Heat Pumps: Showers, baths and taps throughout your home can then use the stored hot water.

I had two small jobs (leaking outside tap isolator and stiff isolation valve on dishwasher). No luck with several other plumbers (job too small, probably) but Adam came along and replaced the offending items very quickly. Adam and his apprentice Harrison did a brilliant job in puzzling out how our house’s complicated old system was causing leaks and fitting a new unvented system and removing the old system including the water tank in the loft. They were efficient and impressive in their knowledge and worked very hard achieving a great result in only 2 days.
